HMS Yarmouth Crest
In
1320 Gt Yarmouth supplied the King with 48 ships to fight at the
battle of Sluys, twice the number sent by London. in recognition of the
importance of this the King halved his coat of arms, the Royal Lions, with Gt
Yarmouth's crest of three fish. Gt Yarmouth has carried on its proud
tradition of supplying ships for HM Naval conflicts. In the Falkland Island
operation 1982 H.M.S Yarmouth and MV Wimpey Seahorse.
