Hi Shipmates, I joined Yarmouth on 26th October 1960 as a L/S U.C.2, so I joined one third of the way through the commission under the command of Commander Hewett. I became "killick" of the the mess. The mess as I remember consisted of the following Legg /Mal`e / Knobbs / Skinner / Iles / Norman / Funnell / Eastley / Maynard / McGlashan / Jones / Woods / Donaldson / Humpleby / Snowball, plus others which escapes my memory at present, but trusting that you will be able to put me more into the picture. My thanks must go to Dave Skinner who has given me so much information over the past year. My duties on board Yarmouth consisted of the maintenance of the A/S dome compartment, but was mostly spent as the A/s Writer working in the Writers Office, mainly responsible for the TAS Officer's correspondence and the printing of "Jimmies" Daily Orders.
