David
died in the Royal United Hospital Bath after two weeks
in the Intensive Care Unit. He was suffering from a rare
form of pneumonia which by the time he was admitted to
hospital, had progressed to the life threatening stage.
David had managed to convince us all that he was getting
better after several weeks of treatment for a chest
infection. The weekend prior to his admission he
had played a large part in a family wedding and then
taken me to the airport for a yoga holiday in Tuscany.
Three days later he was in the RUH, I was on my way back
and 2 days later he was on life support. Subsequently he
suffered renal failure and despite the most amazing care
from the medical team they were unable to save him.
