My
brother Joseph (Joe) Donnelly served on the Yarmouth
during the Falklands war - I believe he worked with
radar and helicopter control. I don't know when he
joined or left the ship but he was onboard for several
years. Sadly Joe died on the 18th of January - he had
great affection for the ship and the serious mates he
had.

Sorry to hear the news about
Joe Donnelly passing away. I served with Joe onboard
during the Falklands. We had some good laughs and runs
ashore. Good memories. My thoughts are with his family &
friends.

I have no doubt I am not the
only to reply to this sad news. I remember Joe, and if I
am right he would only be about 50. I hope the messages
you receive from us all will help his family and give
them support. May he Rest in Peace.
Rick Hodgkiss

Served with Joe during the Falklands and he was going to
be my best man on return from the Falklands. However he
had other family engagements, please pass on my deepest
sympathy to Joe's family.
