Sadly
Paul passed away in March. I don't know who he would have known or
who knew him but I know he kept up a keen interest in all things
Yarmouth related even though ill health meant he could not be very
involved in get togethers.
Hope all those who make it have a great weekend, if you choose the
weekend of 23rd October that would have been Paul's 54th birthday,
so spare him & his family a thought.

That is a sad loss although not totally
unexpected, his emails had been getting rarer and rarer. Paul
and I were oppos back in 74/75, the Yarmouth was our first
ship. He had been battling one illness after another starting
on the Yarmouth in 75, for which he was discharged from the mob.
Paul leaves a wife whose name is Rosie, who
looked after him through all his operations. He also leaves two
daughters the eldest daughter is called Rachel, then comes Chloe
and a son called David.

I knew Paul
(in 74) when he was a very young JRO. I was ic of UHF and worked
very closely with a fantastic " group" of Comms Operators in the
MCO - I remember Paul very well and recall he used to pal around
with Tom 'Taff' Reece; who too would be very sad to hear this
news. My condolences to his family - a candle to be lit in
memory.
