Strangely, I have not seen any remarks regarding the Lynx Chopper (half a bee) when it failed to recover from a manoeuvre during the flying display for the crew and their families on families day. It crashed into the Firth of Forth near the Forth Bridge somersaulted and sank. One of the two crew were injured (my hairy-fairy oppoe) -can't remeber his name now-must be the dementia) who was also part of the Diving Team. His better half did not attend as she was heavily pregnant at the time; thank God! The chopper was recovered and sent to the AIU at Lee-on-Solent.

Hi all. I served on the 'Rubber duckie' from 73>77, I was the Killick of the Greenies mess before being promoted to PO. I remember all the 'tinnies' floating by from the forepeak to the quartedeck after the punch up with the Baldur. I loved the Rubber duck and had the best time of my career on her. Remember Andy Anderson, Wiggy Wigham, Joe Carson (deceased). Butch Cassidy, 'Mean man' McFaddyen. Anybody remember me?

Hi, I'm a journalist interested in HMS Yarmouth's visits to Belize in 1983. I'd like to talk to any sailors or marines who were with the ship at that time. If you'd like to drop me a line my email is phil.miller.research@gmail.com

Having been on duty at Port Edgar (ex-HMS LOCHINVAR), through the '80s, I observed the activities across the water at Rosyth and noted them down. I was also in the RNXS (Op's) during this period. We came alongside HMS YARMOUTH, when standing off Rosyth just prior to her demise. I now run a website FORTHNAVAL.CO.UK which logs those movements from 1980-1988, with many photographs taken at the time. Hopefully, this might prove of some interest.
