The Invincible
6 Wickham Street, Portsea, PO1 3EF

The Invincible is just off Queens Street and a stones throw from the Dockyard Main Gate, within crawling distance of the Home Club and Ideally situated for the misses to go shopping in the New Gun Warf Complex (on the site of the Old HMS Vernon) while we (the ones wearing the trousers) can keep the flag flying in true Naval tradition - but don't forget to ask her first. 2006 1989 Before My Time

The Invincible is one of the few pubs left that you can class as a typical run ashore and get Jack Happy and Legless without the hassle from the unknowing. Its got loads of Naval Character with ships photos and crests adorning the walls, the Landlady has said they are up for it and they don't mind a Sing Song. Many other reunions have been held there in the past so the staff know the score, and its not hard to find.

Pub food is available from behind the Bar at reasonable prices

A night for chingwagging and celebrations  - a raffle will be held during the evening and any one wishing to donate a prize please give me or George Hubbard (81 - 84) a buzz ........... and already we have a Brace of Grouse (liquid not feathered) from Will Henderson (73 - 77) with more to come .............. plus Mac McHohan intends to bring some of the funny stuff we enjoyed at Blackpool, for those that are not familiar with it its called Monkey's Shoulder and its worth coming to Pompey just for that. Andy 'Buck' Rodgers is bringing a bottle of Pussers he won at the auction in Bristol (£80) all proceeds from raffles / auctions / and monies remaining will go to the 'Help for Heroes' fund.

A special 2 foot square Birthday Cake Iced with the Ships Crest, made of chocolate sponge laced with Rum, has been ordered and is being made by Dallas Herbert up there in Leeds, and will be on display. A cutting of the cake and a Tot Time toast will be part of the night's enjoyment.
